Cave
Access On open moorland on the North East slope of Foel Fraith. The cave entrance is near the site marked 'Pwll Swnd' on Sheet 160 of the 1:50000 series maps. It lies just downhill of the outcrop of the 'Honeycomb Sandstone' which is easily identifiable.
Description A small upper series leads via a short pitch to the old series and an extensive lower series with pitches of 9m,8m,8m (Wishing Well),15m (Basement),15m (West End)
History Discovered by A.Hill and Miss G.Tudor in 1939; independently by Gerard Platten, Easter Monday, 1939 (Weaver in Wessex CC Jnl No 288,and logbook) Explored and extended by HCC in 1971
