Access Marked on both the 1:50000 Sheet 160 and 1:25000 Sheet OL12 OS Maps.
Description This is a very large resurgence which has been dug since the 1940's. A 5 metre tunnel was excavated without success. The rising is in faulted limestone surrounded by boulder clay and grit blocks.
History Known for centuries. Dug by P.I.W. Harvey and I.Nixon in 1947 and W.H. Little in 1951
Hydrology Yield recorded as 6.75 ml/d [.078 cumec] Tests
Conservation SSSI: 0854 Mynydd Du (Mixed)
