Rising
Access From the Porth yr Ogof car park go down to the river when dry, via the tourist path. When in flood, go to the other side of the river by way of the road to a point on the West bank where the footpath starts on the meadow, just above the 'S' bend in the river bed. There are risings from here down to the river bend. No limitation to access.
Description There are five risings of various degrees for about 30m, marked on the map as 'springs'. Some go dry in dry weather but there is always some water flowing, providing the only surface water entering Porth-yr-Ogof in dry weather. Above the lower one is a hanging dry valley.
