Sink Cave
Access Third of three final sink points of Giedd and location. The sink is clearly marked on all OS Maps (but not on the first edition!).
Description A sink which has been dug by SWCC in 1947 to give access to a cave 180 metres long, ending in a tight bedding plane. Now completely blocked by flood debris. There is a 4 metre pitch to the lower level which is now heavily silted.
History SWCC 1947. Re-opened in 1970 and 1982
