The resurgence is the source of the moss adorned waterfall, at the top of the sea cliff where the limestone meets the underlying bedrock, that falls into the sea at high tide. The portal itself is a small hole with a gravel bottom and solid limestone arch that is around 30cm across. The flow of water is all year round and is collecting from the quarry and hill inland.
