Rising Cave
Access Obvious resurgence behind Coach House near Craig Y Nos. In front of the cave are two dams which make the entrance easy to see. Access withdrawn by landowner at Shire Horse Centre [2013]
Description Beyond the inner wall of the dam, a large chamber is reached from which several passages branch off. The stream passage leads to sumps of 15m, 27m, and some shorter sumps dived to Sump 8. which is blocked by silt.
History SWCC, 1952; first sump passed in November 1967 and sump 4 reached in March 1968; sump 8 1972...
